Frankie Hagen Garage Bottle

BACKGROUND:
I purchased this custom bottle mostly because it is the only painted Enesco bottle I have seen. This bottle is made from a solid resin sculpted to include a non-removable stopper and likely represents one of the first attempts to replicate the original Jim Beam bottle.

BOTTLE:
This bottle is painted in a variation of the second season colors and designs incorporating a flower motif in place of the traditional cobra designs. The lumpy surface of the bottle indicates either a poor mold or more likely some type of hand sculpting process. The bottle is smaller than the original Jim Beam bottle and smaller than most of the ceramic replicas I have.

Acquired December 5, 2003
Reviewed March 14, 2006

PROS:
The bottle itself is interesting being solid resign and apparently hand sculpted.

CONS:
The design work is not particularly clean or enticing.
