Michelle's Reunion Bottles

REUNION BOTTLE:
This is the design used in both the October 1985, I Dream of Jeannie 15 Years Later and the October 1991, I Still Dream of Jeannie television reunion movies. The base color of the reunion bottle is a darker blue purple compared to the second season bottle and the arches are pointed around the base of the bottle with rounded arches around the neck. Michelle did a superb job of capturing the original designs of the reunion bottle.

This is Michelle’s revised reunion bottle. The general lack of availability of the reunion movies has left open some debate about the designs of the bottle. This latest rendition from Michelle incorporates several key changes such as the longer arches on the lower part of the bottle with the alternating art deco joins and the more rounded upper arches around the neck of the bottle. These finer details are very often overlooked by many fans and artists alike. The closeness of the triple arches along with the alternating joins makes this the most or second most difficult bottle to craft in a clean and even manner.

I have to say that I was never very amorous towards the reunion bottle or the reunion movies for that matter but this reunion bottle converted me and I love it almost as much as my second season bottle!

NOTE: Above-left is an animation comparing the reunion bottle from a promotional beach shot with Michelle’s bottle. The full image is to the left. Below is my attempt to illustrate from the photo the alternating pattern of the lower arches.

Based on the frustration of trying to trace these arches on the computer I don’t even want to think about how hard they are to paint!

SISTER’S BOTTLE:
The Sister’s bottle only appeared for 36 seconds in the October 1991, I Still Dream of Jeannie, reunion movie. It is perhaps the most intriguing and difficult to capture bottle designs. It is the only bottle to have a two tone base coat of a opalescent forest green and black design. Since the purchase of this bottle Michelle has refined her design slightly to present more of a tulip design around the base which is more in keeping with the original designs presented in the movie. You can see a terrific animation of the Sister’s bottle at her website: www.dreamyjeanniebottles.com.
