BACKGROUND:
I purchased this bottle from Ron in 2002 not so much that it is anything like a prop bottle or even that aesthetically pleasing but because it was an interesting experiment by the artist.

BOTTLE:
This variant on the second season bottle is probably the earliest attempt at doing a stained glass window bottle or more accurately an unpainted window bottle. Ron also experimented with creating furniture for the bottle by glue tiny painted items to a felt carpet which was then inserted into the bottle and affixed to the bottom. The concept is a great one but the execution leaves much to be desired.

I think perfecting these concepts in tandem would make for a truly magical bottle. Think for a moment of seeing the silhouette of Jeannie’s couch and tray of memorabilia through the windows around the base. When you think of the first thing many people do when they see Jeannie’s bottle they pull out the stopper and peer down in, most of the time they just see darkness or the bottom of the bottle with this concept you would see the furniture. Where there is furniture can Jeannie be far behind?

PROS:
I love the concept and I love the various ideas that this bottle provoked. I wish I had the talent to execute on the vision but perhaps there is an artist out there that does! Hint, hint.

CONS:
It really is rather sloppy but as with any experiments it is perpetually a work in progress never to be finished.
