BACKGROUND: I purchased this bottle directly from the seller who makes a variety of prop replicas including Jeannie’s bottle and the flute from HR Puff-N-Stuff. This has to be the oddest bottle in my collection. BOTTLE: The bottle is done in the second season style and is entirely hand painted. The material is a type of plaster and the bottle is fused into the beach display base. It appears that the entire piece is hand sculpted as the bottle is grossly irregular and somewhat deformed. I think it is clever the way they did the beach base with shells and a title plaque. NOTE: I have gotten a lot of e-mail asking if this is the Icons International bottle and how I managed to get one when no one else did. As I understand it there were many orders for this replica bottle pictured at right but none of the orders were fulfilled and either through legal action or mismanagement the company filed bankruptcy without delivering on the orders. The above bottle may have been inspired by the promotional Icons International bottle photo but there is nothing to indicate that it is other than what the seller said it was his own creation. I do think it would be a great idea to created a padded display base like a sandy beach to display a painted Jim Beam bottle. |
