Susan Finely

BACKGROUND:
Another amazing eBay discovery! First off Susan is one of the most gracious people I have dealt with. Her auction was for a furnished half Jeannie bottle which looked amazingly like Eddie aka Sharkkee’s furnished bottle. As it turns out Susan did a good deal of the sculpting and prototyping for Eddie several years ago. Here is her own take on the furnished Jeannie bottle.

BOTTLE:
Made of purple translucent resin with gold decals and painted details this bottle is a remarkable gem. Once she applied her gold design decals she sealed them with a thin coat of resin to prevent pealing. I am no fan of decals on bottles but thus far her resin sealant seems to be holding the decals on. She used some nice crystals to simulate the bead work inside the bottle and then added her own take on the cartoon Jeannie sculpture as an bonus.

PROS:
A very clean and well executed version of the furnished bottle. The gold decals actually work well with the translucent resin.

CONS:
Uses decals for the design work but sealed them with resin.
