Farrah Fawcett who has long battled cancern has passed away. Surrounded by family, friends and doctors (her team as longtime companion Ryan O'Neal put it) she drifted in and out of consciousness for the past few days. Recognizing her team though unable to speak she took comfort from their love and devotion as well as the outpouring of good will from her fans.
Best known for her role on Charlie's Angels Farrah Fawcett was an accomplished actress who had her television start on I Dream of Jeannie. Her guest role on I Dream of Jeannie lead to other roles on several popular series inclusing the Six Million Dollar Man staring Lee Majors her husband at the time. With her growing popularity she landed the part of Jill Monroe on Charlie's Angels in 1976. Although she departed the series after only one season her charisma and beauty has forever made her the icon of the series.

In Loving Memory: Farrah Fawcett
February 2, 1947 - June 25, 2009
Farrah Fawcett went on to star in several made for TV movies portraying the plight of women who had been vicitmized. Her work met with critical acclaim and garnered her several awards.
Long time companion, Ryan O'Neal, issued the following statement, "She's gone. She now belongs to the ages. She's now with he mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now."
O'Neal reveals that Farrah was surrounded by her many doctors and close friends when she passed away. He says, "She was with her team when she passed … Her eyes were open, but she didn't say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognized us."
Ryan says a funeral service will be held at the downtown Catholic cathedral in Los Angeles in the next few days.
Farrah Fawcett, was a fresh-faced woman from Corpus Christi, Texas. In the early 1960s, she was voted the "Beautiful Woman" by her high school colleagues. In the late 1960s, she had her first break in guest-starring roles in shows such as "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965), "The Flying Nun" (1967) and "The Partridge Family" (1970). Then, in 1968, she dated actor Lee Majors, and the couple were married on July 28, 1973. Shortly after, Majors starred in his series "The Six Million Dollar Man" (1974) and Farrah guest-starred in four episodes. As her career took off, she posed in her red bathing suit for a poster, and it sold a staggering 8,000,000 plus copies.
Footnotes: To all of Farrah Fawcett's family, friends and fans, especially Ryan O'Neal, Redmond O'Neal and Alana Stewart we send our heartfelt condolences. Farrah Fawcett will always be an American icon, well remember for her art, her image and her glamour!

From Jeannie to J.R.: LARRY TELLS ALL!
An amazing evening of heartwarming and hilarious storytelling by one of the world’s legendary actors. Larry shares anecdotes of his life and career including his famous mother, Mary Martin, the discovery of a Jeannie in a bottle, and who shot J.R. — 350 million “Dallas” fans worldwide wanted to know. It is a very funny and candid self-portrait featuring a multi-media presentation filled with vintage family slides, rare clips, and hysterical outtakes. Larry wraps up the show by answering questions from the audience in the same, wit, charm and warmth that makes this show a hit!

Journal: Thank You DrBombay and AEBellows |

Thank you DrBombay and AEBellows and all those who played in the I Dream of Jeannie Series Episode Elimination Game! With the conclusion of Round 29 a two and half year cycle of games draws to a close! Beginning on December 7, 2006 with the first season of I Dream of Jeannie, the episode elimination games run by DrBombay and illustrated by AEBellows, we have been graciously taken on a magic carpet ride considering each episode and arriving at the best, the worst and most heartfelt favorite episode of the Resident Djinn of The Jeannie Journal. Hundreds of posts and screen captures, thousands of votes, hundreds of players and not a few nail biting photo finishes later the games have concluded! The amount of work that both these distinguished members have put into this game, rain or shine, is truly staggering. My gratitude and the gratitude of all the Resident Djinn are with you. Words really cannot convey that gratitude nor simple images but this thank you graphic shows that avatars of those who most recently partipated in this last game. At its height there were 150 players which is a substantial increase from the original games. Not everyone who played has uploaded an avatar but of those who did there are 101 avatars shown. They are in no particular order but all are represented here.
THANK YOU DRBOMBAY and AEBELLOWS and ALL THE RESIDENT DJINN of THE JEANNIE JOURNAL!!

Journal: Celebrating Three Years of the Jeannie Journal |
 |
|
Congratulations to all the Resident Djinn on this third anniversary of the public opening of the Jeannie Journal. The true architects of the Jeannie Journal are each and every I Dream of Jeannie fan who has taken up residency, as of this writing 1724, and who visit each day to read the latest news and check the bLink Links which averages around 1500. The Journal is not something anyone person may lay claim to but rather the communal efforts of a cast of Djinn who have shared selflessly their love of I Dream of Jeannie and the outstanding cast & crew of I Dream of Jeannie, Barbara Eden, Larry Hagman, Bill Daily, Hayden Rorke, Emmaline Henry and Sidney Sheldon. The Jeannie Journal is constantly evolving through each of its editions, some reflecting the seasons, some the holidays while others events from I Dream of Jeannie. Through it all, it is the fans that make the Jeannie Journal all that it is by reflecting the magic and love of I Dream of Jeannie.
When I secured the domain name jeanniejournal.com in 2002 I had only the vaguest ideas of creating an I Dream of Jeannie fan tribute with news at its core. Today the Journal has become and is in the process of becoming so much more for all fans of goodwill. So here is to the year just passed and the years to come! Celebrate all things I Dream of Jeannie and best wishes to one and all!!! BLINK
REFLECTIONS ON THE YEAR JUST PASSED…
