Bottle Artists: I dream of a Custom, gold Vines Jeannie Bottle
Rus writes "Greetings and Salaam, Djinn and Djinniyah. And all other denizens of the I Dream of Jeannie world.
I guess the designation of me as a bottle artist is complete.
I've listed a bottle on eBay...finally.
Although I finished this bottle some months ago (October?), I was in no hurry to list it for one reason or another. But now it's time to pass this bottle along.
For those who may be curious, you could say that I've a somewhat extensive background in art. After graduating high school I attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati, should that tell you anything.
For various reasons I've always had an especial interest in Art History. Although it's only been within the past few years that I've delved further into the artistic traditions of the Middle East.
As a whole, I felt that it was too busy for my tastes. I'm not one for too much ornamentation. However now that I've looked at the individual elements, I truly see and appreciate the full beauty of the works. The flowing lines I find particularly appealing. How a vine or leaf will meld into the next until it comes back upon itself creating a motif.

Reviews: Barbara Eden's Original Prop Bottle Has 6 Cinquefoil Panes and Blue Arches
Perhaps as long as there have been artists tackling the challenge of recreating Jeannie’s bottle from the second thru fifth season of I Dream of Jeannie there has been debate as to what elements and details in the design of the bottle, especially Barbara Eden’s original prop bottle, were accurate and faithful to the original prop design. How many clovers, spades or cinquefoil are there in the window panes? What color are the arches, blue, white or light blue and on down the line.
Many people have seen Barbara Eden’s bottle in person and already know the answers to these questions, some artists also have seen Barbara Eden’s bottle and crafted their replicas accordingly while other artists have diligently studied photos and videos of her bottle and all the prop bottles used in the series and have arrived at the same conclusions.
Now thanks to Michelle at www.dreamyjeanniebottles.com and her e-mail exchanges with Barbara Eden’s husband Jon Eicholtz we have definitive statements from the ones who know better than anyone just what the reality is. After all Jeannie and her husband live with the one true prop bottle from I Dream of Jeannie.

This just in from Linda aka IDOJ4ever on the Jeannie Journal:
You may recall seeing this gem from the episode My Master the Ghost Breaker and others. When faced with a trip of any duration, Jeannie was ensured the safe transit of her bottle with a marvelously padded and well appointed case. Now, thanks to the wizardry of Elio Vieira, Linda’s brother, you too can have your own Jeannie bottle travel in style.
Constructed of a fiberglass body and lined with red velvet the case is hinged and secured with fasteners and strong handles evoking the original prop case from I Dream of Jeannie while still being practical too.
A BIT of HISTORY:
Two of these original replicas were created by Elio in 2005, one as a gift for Barbara Eden and one for his sister Linda’s bottle that Barbara Eden signed. In May of 2005 Linda had the great fortune to meet Barbara Eden in person. There she opened her case to present her bottle for signature and Barbara remarked, “What a beautiful case!” That’s when Barbara learned that she was getting one too! Imagine Barbara Eden’s surprise at receiving her very own Jeannie bottle traveling case saying, “Now I have a place to keep my real bottle!” Perhaps, in addition to keeping her bottle in the case, Barbara Eden travels with it when doing promotional press tours. Now another has been created, but only one and it could be yours if…
I would be remiss if I failed to recognize such an amazing deal as this!
Brian, of Brian’s Genie Bottles, created http://idreamofjeanniefans.com to provide a place for fans to share their love of I Dream of Jeannie and to encourage people to participate he has offered an unprecedented incentive, a free hand painted Jeannie bottle of your choice once you achieve 10,000 points based on participation on his site. It gets better still because once you achieve the first bottle you can garner more free painted Jeannie bottles for every 10,000 additional points you accumulate.
For those who think there is some kind of competition between Brian’s Jeannie fan site and the Jeannie Journal I say no. It is all about celebrating a television show that holds a special place in our hearts and minds and for some our childhoods. The Journal will continue to do its thing and welcome all those of good will and I Dream of Jeannie fandom but don’t miss an opportunity like this. Why buy a bottle from Brian when you can earn one or more for free!
The details of this generous, unlimited promotion as stated on Brian’s site follow:

IDOJ Merchandise: UNVEILED! Shannon's Magical Golden Vines Bottle
When Jeannie left the first colorless gray season to start anew in vibrant, living color, she packed her little genie bags, and headed for a more colorful home in a new bottle. Not since the Dorothy’s house relocation from a black and white Kansas to a Technicolor Oz had a shift in real estate been so dramatically felt. The move to the new bottle left the old looking tired and lifeless, it’s magical powers stripped like Superman donning a kryptonite necklace. Jeannie’s original quarters became dull and stark when compared to her beautifully colored new digs.
But the question remained…. Could Jeannie click her hot pink slippers with the golden heels and go home again? Could the magic be brought back to the first season bottle?
I endeavored to try, and the results were both stunning and remarkable!

Salvatore and Son, known on eBay as Class Encounters, would like to announce the winner of the latest eBay auction of a David Matson bottle. In a surprise move, Return of the Djinni entered the winning bid in the last 5 seconds of the auction and claimed the prize. It is obvious that he used the method of bidding that appeared in an article he recently authored on the Jeannie Journal.
Congratulations to Mike, and we hope he enjoys his win.
